Volunteer Opportunities help Kistler’s Kids, and are a great way to get involved in the
community and make new friends. People of all ages volunteer for the Center, and there
are many ways individuals and groups can help.

Community Events
Volunteers have fun at our special events, whether it’s taking tickets at a concert, working
concessions at Oktoberfest, painting faces at the Teddy Bear Tea, watching for a hole-in-one
at our golf tournament, or judging the Chili Cook-off, there’s always something for everyone!

Mail-outs
Volunteers, like members of the WestArk Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP),
enjoy helping with our bi-annual newsletters and solicitation letters. Stuffing and sealing
envelopes and attaching mailing labels allows for socialization with friends while helping the
Center spread its message and its mission.

Office Work
Volunteers with office skills, or those wishing to develop some for future employment, help
with filing, copying, and some typing.

Special Projects
Therapy may include motor skills groups with special themes such as dance, cheerleading,
swimming, and martial arts. Access to these groups, which many able-bodied children and
adolescents take for granted, gives our children a sense of normalcy and develops
socialization, heightened self-esteem, and improved coordination. Volunteers with expertise
in these and other areas are encouraged to help with the groups.

Volunteer hours are logged to report to college admissions, civic groups,
and the Arkansas State Department of Volunteerism.

Yes, I would like to Volunteer!
